Farceur Du Large is set to be aimed at some of the most prestigious races in the armed forces racing calendar, including the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown, a race that his trainer Jamie Snowden won four times as a jockey. The 8 year old gelding is a three-time winner and looks tailor-made for longer distances, having already won a valuable staying handicap chase last season. 

Having run well in some competitive staying chases in Ireland last season, Farceur Du Large was purchased from the famous Gigginstown House Stud in Ireland by our bloodstock agent Tom Malone, with the intention of aiming him for a bold bid in the Military Gold Cup in March 2024. 

Now trained by former army Captain Jamie Snowden, Farceur Du Large couldn’t be in better hands as he targets some of the key races in the army racing calendar. His win at Punchestown came off a mark of 130, and he’s now down to a mark of 129, so we’re expecting him to make good use of that and return to the winners enclosure soon!
